Wow, I read this poem in a book, today and it will really make you stop and think, it doesn't give the author so I'm sorry for that, but I read it in the book "One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven" by Mark Cahill.

My Friend

My friend I stand in judgment now,
And feel that you're to blame somehow.
On Earth I walked with you day by day,
And never did you pint the way.

You knew the Lord in truth and Glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim,
You could have led me safe to him.

Though we lived togther here on Earth,
You never told me of the second birth.
And now I stand this day condemed,
Because you failed to mention Him.

You taught me many thigs, that's true;
I called you "friend" and trusted you.
But I learn now that it's too late,
And you could have kept me from this fate.

We walked by day and talked by night,
And yet you showed me not the light.
You let me live, and love, and Die,
You knew I'd never live on high.

Yes, I called you "friend" in life,
And trusted you through joy and strife.
And yet on coming to this dreaful end,
I cannot now call you "my friend"

I don't know about you, but this really kicks me hard with the importance of witnessing. Much love.

In His Name,
-Sara-

Subject:Help
Posted by:sugerpie.

Okay so it's another drama class project.

Basically our assignment is everyone has to direct a scene.
Not a big deal, I've already picked out my scene, assigned roles and all that fun stuff. But we also have to keep a director's binder and include in it some research we've done on our scene. My scene is from The Tattoo Parlor by Louis K. Philips and I am having the hardest time finding anything on it. So if anyone knows anything or knows any sites/books that I could look at that would have anything I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
Rachel

Hey guys, I'm new and I'm in a little bit of a situation here, I was hoping that someone on here might be able to help me.

I'm a freshmen in highschool and taking a Drama 2 course. Right now our assignment is to do an HI/DI scene that is 4-6 minutes in length and consists of 4-6 characters. It can be Male/Female roles but I would very much prefer all females because I have to play all of these characters.

We were assigned this last Friday and supposed to have our scene picked and written out by last Tuesday and I'm still searching. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Subject:Any Movie Suggestions?
Posted by:averypenguin.
Time:6:42 am.
Can you think of any good movies based on (or films of) stage plays? I need something that is reasonably appropriate for my church drama group (ala no massive cursing and no nudity) as we're having a retreat this weekend and I need two different films to show them.

Thanks!

AS of last night one of my best friends and I took a couple of our youth aside that have confided in us with issues in depression and Self injury, and we informed them of our own struggles with it. Out of this we have decided to start a small support group between the 4 of us. Please pray that we are able to help these other youth grow in christ as well as pray that we grow with them in our endeavors

Christian Pick Up Lines

1) Nice bible.

2) I would like to pray with you.

3) You know Jesus? Me too.

4) God told me to come talk to you.

5) I know a church where we could go and talk.

6) How about a hug, sister?

7) Do you need help carrying your bible? It looks heavy.

8) Christians don't shake hands, Christians gotta hug.

9) Oh you are cold, Ecclesiastes 4:11

10) Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?

11) What are your plans for tonight? Feel like a bible study?

12) I am here for you.

13) The word says "Give drink to those who are thirsty, and feed the hungry," how about dinner?

14) You don't have an accountability partner? Me neither.

15) Do you want to come over and watch the Ten Commandments tonight?

16) Is it a sin that you stole my heart?

17) Would you happen to know a Christian woman (man) that I could love with all my heart and wait on hand and foot?

18) Nice bracelet. What would Jesus date? I mean "do."

19) Do you believe in Divine appointment?

20) Have you ever tried praying at a drive-in movie before?

21) Excuse me, I believe one of your ribs belongs to me.

22) My friend told me to come and meet you, he said that you are a really nice person. I think you know him. Jesus, yeah, that's his name.

23) You know they say that you have never really dated, until you have dated a Christian.

24) Yeah I predicted David over Goliath.

A couple at my church (and also very dear friends of mine) are in desperate need of prayer right now. They just lost the baby they were going to be having in what I believe was about the 3rd month. They are very strong christians and they believe God had a purpose for it, but none the less, it was still a tragic loss for them, as well as for their other two children they already have. Please keep them in your prayers while they make it through this difficult time. Thanks everyone. We all appreciate it.
God Bless

I'm starting a drama Group at my church and my first mission in it is to Take Charge, or I guess basically direct a few skits to be thrown into our morning christmas service and also direct a full length drama to be performed at the evening service. I'm a little nervous about it, but I know it's what God wants me to do. I just need to ask for a little prayer that I keep God as the main director and me as the assistant director taking charge of what he really wants. I've got a really full plate right now, and this is definately going to be adding to the load. Please keep this awesome ministry in your prayers!
Peace, <3, and God Bless!

Subject:The Search for a Script
Posted by:averypenguin.
Time:10:44 pm.
Hello there. I am relying on you, the slueths of the LiveJournal frontier, to help me find something I've been searching for these past five years. (Religious disclaimer: This question involves a religious drama script, but I'm not asking or concerning myself with your religion, just whether or not you have seen or can find the script.)

Five years ago, at a Centrifuge Summer Camp in Gulfport, MS, I saw a short (ala 10 minutes) scene performed by the staffers of the camp. The concept was this: four hikers seek shelter in an abandoned chapel during a thunderstorm. In the chapel is a large {portrait / statue / stained glass window} of Jesus. After some dialogue, they all go to sleep. Each one, in turn, dreams about who Jesus is to them. To one, he's a Santa Claus or Sugar Daddy figure, giving everything they want. To another (I think), he's a Rambo figure, fighting all the battles. I can't remember the third, but to the last, he's a judge, condemning the guy and casting him into hell. The script ends with them all leaving one by one, the last staying, breaking down, and receiving salvation at the end.

The camp staff followed it up with a creative movement routine involving masks to a song whose title I also can't remember. Have any of you ever heard of or seen this scene, have the script, know where to get the script, know who wrote the scene, anything? (I reluctantly figure the camp staff probably wrote it and it wouldn't be available anywhere else, but here's hoping, eh?)

Thanks in advance! (x-posted every which way)

HEY!!!!

this only looks like the perfect community EVER!!! I'm so excited I found it! Hooray!!! I've been doing drama since I was 10, and I've been a christian a little over 2 years..and it's completely worth it. I just finished up with 2 plays (one with my high school and one with a community theatre) they were "You Can't Take It With You" (Alice) and "Searching for David's Heart" (Darcy) and right now I'm working on co-directing/acting in "Rumors" (Cookie) It's great fun. At my school about 75-80% of the drama kids are mormon, which makes the christians kind of seem like the odd man out. What about any of you? Are there a lot of mormon kids in drama at your schools? Well pleased to have found this community! Let's keep it lively!!! We should have banners to promote it and stuff too!

My name is Sarah. I'm 17, live in florida, and I'm a senior in high school. Ahhh! Graduation in 2 months. It's so crazy. Well, I just wanted to get on and say hey and let people know I'm around. My church just ended our Youth Revival last night and it was a week of total awesomeness! (I like to make my own words :P)
